Ahh yes. Above is a pic from one of the greatest films of all time – The Three Amigos. It’s always nice when the boys get together and present you with a snuggly soft sweater. Good times. It’s been a good weekend, so I thought I’d share some highlights with you – Mr. and Mrs. Joe Q. Public:
1. I got out of Phoenix!
2. No smog.
3. I could actually see stars (see also: #2)
4. I was able to take walks at night without looking like a gatorade commercial (see also: #1)
5. I was able to spend some time near 9,000 feet – even if just for a short while.
6. Got to see some family.
7. People actually responded when I said hello in passing.
8. Gas station burritos from Town & Country
9. When driving home late one night, all of the businesses were closed, and there were no cars on the road.
10. I was able to glean some much needed insight from my good friend – perspective.
11. TexMex from LaFonda’s!!
12. The Red Raiders are off and running. Texas Tech introduced SMU to a sport called football. Tech 49, SMU 9
13. Franklin. (more on this in a later post)
