I was listening to Conan O’Brien interview Tiki Barber (former NY Giants running back) about the accusations being made against the Patriots for allegedly cheating by trying to spy on the opposing team’s signals and playbook. Tiki said something that really got me thinking – especially in its application to the spiritual side of things. He said “that’s part of the beauty of the game… it doesn’t matter how much knowledge you have, you still have to execute the play.” Hmm…
We can have a head full of biblical knowledge ABOUT God and what following Christ means… but do we ACT on that knowlege? Do we really “execute the play” as Jesus has drawn it up… that’ll preach.
