Bryan C. Bailey – Pastor, Evangelist, Communicator
I’m 31 years old and married to my beautiful wife Karina. I’m currently serving as the Pastor to High School & College students at First Baptist Church in Odessa, Texas. I am passionate about living life to its fullest and communicating the Gospel and story of Jesus Christ to a hurting world. I’ve seen so many people try to make God’s Word “relevant” to this culture and in the process water down the reality of its message. The Word of God is ALWAYS relevant, sadly – we’re the ones that fail to be relevant in our culture. It’s my vision and passion to see an awakening sweep across our land once again. I dare to believe in God’s Word and it’s ability to address every issue that life throws at us. Wherever I have traveled, I talk with students and other believers and continue to hear the same thing “there has to be something more” – I agree. Jesus didn’t die to start another religion, and He’s not alive to simply make bad people better. We become fully alive when we encounter the life changing grace given to us through Jesus. To keep this from getting too deep and sappy…
I also love being in the mountains, hiking, watching Texas Tech sports, taking naps, drinking diet coke (an occasional Dr. Pepper), eating at Taco Bueno or Buns Over Texas, spending time with my beautiful wife. We don’t have any kids, but we do have a very feisty weiner dog named Franklin (aka Dipstick).
LORD, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, O LORD. Renew them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy. ~Habakkuk 3:2

Bryan,
Great blog. Thanks for adding DE to your bloglist. I love your thoughts and your honesty and your passion for what is real about following Jesus. I also worked in a large church, and have had similar irritations about the pre-programmed, sermon-centric production oriented worship service that seems to be more about giving you lists of ways to live your life better (at the expense of Jesus, who seems to be just one of the add on’s or steps).
Anyway, I hope to keep an eye on what you’re up to and thinking. You give this old guy a little hope for the future of the church.
Hi Bryan! My husband and 2 sons are at camp this week at Glorieta (FBC Woodville, Texas – Youth Director Todd Pounds). I googled glorieta and centrifuge and got your website today. How neat to see what it looks like as you’re pulling in to camp for those of us who have never been. Thank you so much for taking the time to put your videos of camp out there for us to see. I will pray for you and your ministry to our kids this week. God Bless!
